American modernist painting
Peter Krasnow (1887-1979), was born the Ukraine and moved to the United States in 1908, spending most of his life and career in California. Krasnow participated in many shows and exhibitions throughout his career, from the 1920’s until his death. His works are held in several museums in the Untied States. The importance of Peter’s work as an early Los Angeles area modernist has been highlighted in the recent show ‘Peter Krasnow: Maverick Modernist’ at the Laguna Art Museum.
