Abstract expressionist landscape painting
Eugene Pizzuto, (American 1925-2004), lived in the Pacific Northwest and taught painting and drawing at the University of Washington. Pizzuto was a professor at UW from 1957-1993, and was head of the Art Department there toward the end of his tenure there.
This work, ‘Landscape with a Soft Cloud’, done in the manner of artist John Marin, was created in the 1960s and was exhibited at a show of Pizzuto’s work at the UW’s Henry Gallery of Art in 1965.
Measures 17″ x 19.25″ image size, 18.75″ x 21″ x 2″ overall including framing.
